Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)

Tanım ve Amacı

Brow lift, also known as forehead lift, is a cosmetic surgery performed to elevate the brows and reduce wrinkles in the forehead area. This procedure smoothens low and sagging brows, reduces frown lines in the forehead, and provides a younger, fresher, and more dynamic appearance. Brow lift surgery can be performed to address both aesthetic concerns and functional issues, such as sagging brows causing vision obstruction.

Types of Brow Lifts

  1. Classic Brow Lift (Open Brow Lift):

    • A long incision is made just behind the hairline, and excess skin and tissue are removed. The brows are lifted to the desired position, and the forehead skin is pulled taut. This method is chosen for achieving more pronounced results.
  2. Endoscopic Brow Lift:

    • A small incision is made within the hairline, and the brows and forehead tissues are lifted using an endoscope. This method is less invasive, and the recovery time is shorter.
  3. Temporal Brow Lift (Lateral Brow Lift):

    • A small incision is made in the temples, and the outer parts of the brows are lifted. This method is particularly effective for lifting the outer edges of the brows and reducing lateral sagging.

Prosedür

Brow lift surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia or sedation, and the procedure takes 1-2 hours. Depending on the method chosen, the incision can be made within the hairline or in the temples. The excess skin and tissue are removed, and the brows are lifted and repositioned. The incisions are then closed. Scars are generally hidden within the hairline, leaving minimal visible marks.
