Burun Ucu Estetiği (Tipplasty)

Tanım ve Amacı

Nasal tip surgery, medically known as tipplasty, is a surgical procedure aimed at enhancing the appearance and functionality of the nasal tip. The structures that form the nasal tip include the cartilage that forms each nostril and the front part of the septum, which consists of cartilage and bone. These cartilages are crucial in determining both the aesthetic appearance and the functional aspect of the nasal tip.

These cartilages can have structural and positional problems, either congenital or acquired, which may impede breathing and cause an aesthetically displeasing appearance. Nasal tip surgery addresses these issues, offering both aesthetic and functional improvements.

Prosedür

Nasal tip surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. The procedure involves the following steps:

  1. Preparation: The patient’s expectations and nasal anatomy are evaluated before surgery. The surgical plan is customized according to the patient’s needs.

  2. Anesthesia: General anesthesia is administered.

  3. Incisions: Small incisions are made inside the nostrils, and if necessary, on the outside of the nose. The location of the incisions depends on the extent of the surgery.

  4. Reshaping: The cartilage and bone structures of the nasal tip are reshaped, lifted, or reduced. If needed, excess tissue is removed or grafts are added.

  5. Closure: The incisions are carefully closed, and a nasal splint is applied to support the new shape during the healing process.

İyileşme Süreci

The recovery process after nasal tip surgery may vary from person to person. Generally, post-operative recovery includes:

  • First Days: Mild pain, swelling, and bruising are normal. Nasal congestion and mild pain may persist for a few days, but these will resolve over time.

  • 1 Week: Splints and dressings are usually removed within a week.

  • 2-3 Weeks: Swelling and bruising decrease significantly.

  • 3-6 Months: Complete recovery usually takes 3-6 months. The final shape of the nasal tip becomes evident over time.
